The
2007 PridePlanners Conference - A Financial Planning Conference for
Advisors of Non-Traditional Clients - is scheduled for September
27- 29, 2007 at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C.
This conference is designed for financial professionals assisting gays,
lesbians, singles and unmarried couples.
We
are very excited about the list of speakers we are gathering. Scheduled

Peter Berkery
Director, CCH Wall Street
Peter Berkery is the Director of CCH Wall Street,
a leading provider of information and software tools for securities
compliance professionals. He manages a diverse portfolio of print and
electronic research products, Internet and desktop software tools.
Peter
is the author of two books: Financial Planning for Gays and Lesbians,
and, along with his partner Gregory Diggins, Gay Finances in a Straight
World.
Peter
is a Certified Financial Planner®. He holds a law degree from
American University and an LLM in Taxation from George Washington
University; he also earned an MA in International Affairs while at
American. Peter and his partner Gregory Diggins, CPA, CFP®, have
been together for 20 years.
Congressman
Barney Frank
<>Barney Frank has been
in Congress since 1981. He is the Chairman of the Financial
Services Committee. Previously he was a Massachusetts State
Representative and an assistant to the Mayor of Boston. He
has also taught at several Boston area universities.

Frederick
Hertz
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Frederick Hertz graduated from Boalt
Hall (University of California. Berkeley School of Law, 1981), clerked
with the Minnesota Supreme Court (1981-1982), and subsequently received
a Master's Degree in Urban Geography from the University of California,
Berkeley (1991).
Mr.
Hertz practices real estate and land use law in Oakland, California.
His real property practice emphasizes the formation and dissolution of
real property co-ownership agreements, especially the resolution of
property and financial disputes between unmarried couples (both
same-sex and opposite-sex couples) and domestic partners, and purchase
& sale and other real property matters. He provides both
transaction and litigation counsel and also serves as a mediator and
arbitrator, with an emphasis on real property disputes and
non-marital/domestic partner dissolutions.
Mr.
Hertz writes and speaks nationally on property issues facing unmarried
partners. He is the author of Legal Affairs: Essential Advice for
Same-Sex Couples (Owl Books) and co-author of two Nolo Press books:
Legal Guide for Lesbian and Gay Couples and Living
Together: A Legal Guide for Unmarred Couples. Mr. Hertz has
appeared as a panelist for California Continuing Education/State Bar
and Bar Association of San Francisco programs. He has appeared on the Oprah
Winfrey Show, the Today Show, All Things Considered,
and Talk of the Nation, and has been quoted in the New York
Times, American Demographics, Hero Magazine, the Advocate,
Kiplingers Magazine, the Washington Post,
the New York Post and the New York Observer.
Cindy Sterling
< style="font-family: helvetica,arial,sans-serif;">A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a
bachelor's degree in economics and master's degree in psychological
services, Cindy also received her chartered financial consultant (ChFC)
certification in 1997. Cindy serves as the proprietor of Sterling
Financial Planning, a financial planning firm that creates personal
financial plans for individuals.

In additional to financial planning, Cindy is a consultant around
planned giving, working as a senior associate with Washburn &
McGoldrick, Inc.During her nine years as the director of gift planning
at Vassar College, Cindy developed new donor-centered marketing
strategies that contributed to a large increase in planned gifts during
Vassar's $206 million campaign. Cindy started her development career at
the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science serving as the
director of prospect research and later the director of major and
planned gifts
